I do not attend Alquina Church, but I would like to answer if I may? In April of 2020 my home burnt, it was a complete loss. Alquina Church was the very first Church to reach out to our family and see if there was anything we needed. They were the first Church to bring us a check to help us get back on our feet, for that I am overwhelmingly grateful, and this little Church will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart! God bless!

This church has been a HUGE blessing to me... when I needed support, in one of the toughest times of my life, the people of Alquina Church stepped up. I am forever grateful!

After my home church closed in 2019, and we had to find a new church to attend, we instantly fell in love with Alquina Church. We knew a few people that attended there, but was instantly welcomed by so many more. So hard to answer in a few words. It's the people we are family there are people that know the worst about me, but still love me. The Church is involved with the Community, our young people don't just take up space on Sunday they have made it their Church. Pastor Rob is great relatable to this time. We are real people not perfect. Most importantly I feel Jesus

I've never been part of a community as uplifting and life-giving as Alquina Church. The love shared within this church family is genuine, constant, and supportive. Many Sunday mornings I think back to being little and sitting in the church pew with my grandparents- listening to them sing and snatching candy from my grandma's purse- remembering how special that time in my life was. Now I get to make similar memories with my nieces and help show them the love of Christ just like so many before me have.... more

I get asked often why we make the drive from southern rush county, and it's simple, l would drive hours for family! This church has been my family since the day I was born. Everyone welcomed Doug his first Sunday there, so of course there was no other place for us to get married! Then came bringing my boys to be taken into outstretched arms! There is no way to describe the love we receive and the place I want my boys to continue to love coming.

The love that is given whether it is celebrating the good times or dealing with sad times. Such a supportive church family.

To me it feels like home! My safe place! I feel loved by my fellow parishioners. I have grown so much in my faith with this Godly family that attend this amazing church. I love the building but without my fellow believers it is just a brick and wood frame structure!

Alquina Church is such a friendly loving church. The first time we came in the doors we felt so welcomed. Love all of the young people and kids and how involved they are.

It is Home! Where my heart longs to be. Rather l'm at my lowest or highest it's there I long to be with the people I want to do life with. I know no matter what I have the love and support of everyone there. You feel the Holy Spirit's presence when you walk in the doors. My family would not have survived without Alquina Church this last year. It's the best place to grow your faith. To grow your family. To grow God's Kingdom!

Some of my thoughts: I love that people display the fruits of The Holy Spirit and The Holy Spirit is working and moving. I can see it by how people treat each other and by how the church is growing. I feel like the people understand the mission and purpose which is to make heaven crowded. Praying that The Holy Spirit will continue to reveal Himself to each of us in a deeply profound positive way to give God all of the glory! In Jesus name!

Because even when we disagree we still respect and love each other. The younger men and women wanting to be involved.

So many reasons I travel to Alquina Church from Richmond. I have a peaceful feeling as I enter. Smiling faces greet as we enter the sanctuary and the beauty of the church surrounds you. There is a wonderful feeling of protective calmness and I value this.

I love the love provided to my children. Il love the willingness of our congregation to step out and show love to others! It's truly special to be apart of a growing church who embraces new faces each week! We put action into new ideas while honoring our traditions!

Feeling of family. Messages that make me think and relate scripture to daily life. People sharing our stories and life struggles and successes with each other.

Very welcoming and encourages younger children to come. Group activities include all who would like to join. Love Alquina community and this church !

Feeling like I had found my home church right from the very first time I came. Such a warm feeling. Everyone is so willing to pitch in for every new idea presented. Lotta love here! God is good.

All the people are so welcoming, everyone seems to truly care about each other and are willing to help each other out and our community. Love seeing our little church grow.

There is peacefulness there, I have many friends there. I love the messages my pastor brings
